THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE [ABRIDGED] 

Warning! This show is a high-speed roller-coaster type condensation of all of Shakespeare’s plays, and is not recommended for people with heart ailments, bladder problems, inner-ear disorders, outer-ear disorders, Shakespearean scholars, degrees in Elizabethan history and/or people inclined to motion sickness. 

When Morgan Larsen & Joe Trainor (both former English teachers) brainstormed a show they could direct together, there was no other choice besides The Complete Works of Shakespeare [Abridged]. The only problem? The play is originally written for just 3 characters, and the pair of directors simply knew too many silly goofs to narrow it down. So, as encouraged by the play’s authors, Joe & Bobby set about re-working the play to fit five. The resulting script was seamless, and each of the five goofs got multiple chances to shine. For costuming, each character was assigned a color, and their costume pieces throughout were based on it, all the way down to their Converse high tops. Even the crew got into the theme. Each show was filled with slight differences, but none quite as big as when the giant bag of Skittles exploded on stage, and in a panic to remove them quickly, Matthew immediately pecked at them like a chicken, eating them off the floor.
